My Workshop

Showcasing my projects, including what I'm proud about or learned a lot from. Not just my technical projects, but also non-technical work.

Pokefruit

My first ever crochet plushy, created by two test pieces.

I started to pick up crocheting because I wanted a creative hobby. Now, I do have creative hobbies, but nothing had me create visually artistic pieces. I have always been interested in arts and crafts since childhood and tried exploring many of its avenues.

However, I've been pretty unsucessful with sticking to anything. I like working with my hands and building things. Drawing, painting, and even instrument playing goes over my head (though I did play Alto Saxophone in high school). So far, I have been spent two days on crocheting and enjoy it a lot. The piece I have created here is an improvised gift I am calling "the Pokefruit."

Anti-Bump Sensor

This project aims to promote safe driving and avoid car collisions through the Anti-Bump Sensor. In this workshop, we explore the old features of existing cars’ sensors and incorporate new ideas to make the anti-bump sensor prototype. Our research results in a focus on the mapping ability of the sensor and the audio + visual alerts that are the most beneficial for the driver.

Poncho Notes

Where Ideas Stick and Sustain

PonchoNotes revolutionizes note-taking by introducing an augmented reality experience. Unlike traditional sticky notes confined by physical space, our application transcends these limitations. Paper-based notes often lead to environmental waste and pose long-term sustainability challenges.

Our solution transforms note-taking into augmented reality, providing users with limitless space, knowledge graph organization, and a sustainable alternative to traditional methods.

Hacker Match

Helping Hackers Make Matches

As frequent participants in hackathons, we've often found it challenging to assemble the perfect team to bring our innovative ideas to life. We've experienced the frustration of searching for teammates with the right skills, enthusiasm, and experience to complement our own.

To address this common issue in the hackathon community, we created Hacker Match, a platform designed to simplify the process of finding and connecting with like-minded hackers, thereby forming dream teams for hackathons.

Using AI to turn minutes into moments

In our journey as students, we have come to recognize the profound predicament that ensues when attempting to glean meaningful insights from lengthy video content. The struggle to synthesize information effectively from such resources is palpable. In light of this predicament, we embarked on a mission to craft a solution that not only ameliorates this issue but also bestows a boon to our fellow students by saving their precious time.

We sought to empower them with a tool that not only facilitates the curation of their educational content but also ensures the utmost convenience by allowing them to revisit videos pertinent to specific topics.

Tree Datalize

Educating the economic and environmental benefits of trees

We met the representative from TreeDavis on the first day, and in our conversation with him we could see how motivated he was towards making our lives better by planting more trees. The talk was very informative and we decided that we could help the organisation's goals by helping make people more aware of the trees around them and the impact they have.
